The Department of Management within the College of Business at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for two (2) tenure-track, nine-month faculty position beginning August 2024 with the possibility to begin January 2024. The successful candidate for each position will be able to teach some combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in a variety of management concentration areas including but not limited to organizational behavior and/or strategic management. The standard teaching load is 9 s.h. in each of the fall and spring semesters. Additional duties include research/creative activities leading to publications as required for tenure as well as appropriate service to the university, community, and profession. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Preference is for a candidate with terminal degree conferred and interest in Organizational Behavior and/or Strategy with secondary interest in OB, Strategy, and/or International Business.

This appointment requires a PhD with a concentration in Business Administration or Management or a DBA from an appropriately accredited institution that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines; candidates with PhD conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. This position requires evidence of the ability to develop, implement, and maintain a significant ongoing research agenda as well as evidence of excellence in teaching.

We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4,600 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge.
