Off-Site Event #1: Southern Golf Scramble
When: 9 AM tee time on Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Cost: $85
Come join your colleagues for our Annual SMA Golf Scramble at The Preserve at Verdae. Group size up to 24. Tee times begin at 9AM, transportation to the course will begin at 7AM from the lobby of the Hyatt.
Registration closes on October 1, 2025.
Doctoral consortia and CARMA@SMA participants cannot take part in the Southern Golf Scramble.
Off-Site Event #2: The Business of Minor League Baseball
When: 3 PM – 4 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025
Cost: $20
Explore the business of minor league baseball with a comprehensive behind‑the‑scenes tour of the Greenville Drives facility. Immerse yourself in the operational side of the sport, including ticketing, merchandising, and brand marketing. Gain insight into stadium logistics, game-day coordination, and community outreach programs that build local fan loyalty. Peek inside broadcast booths, meet the front office team, and learn how sponsorships and partnerships fuel the club’s success, all while experiencing the passion driving America’s pastime. Off-Site Event #3: Flying Rabbit Adventure Ziplining
When: 8 AM – 10 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025
Cost: $85
Soar into excitement with Flying Rabbit Adventure Ziplining—a high‑adrenaline journey through stunning treetop canopies. Begin with a safety briefing led by expert guides, then launch from towering platforms, flying between lush forest valleys. Feel the wind rush as you glide across multiple ziplines varying in length and height. Along the way, learn about local flora and wildlife. Conclude with a final “mega zip” that delivers breathtaking views and an unforgettable adrenaline rush. Perfect for friends, families, and daredevils alike! Transportation provided.
Off-Site Event #4: Dinner out with SMA
When: 8 PM – 10 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025
Cost:
$83.20 for dinner only (includes dinner, 20% gratuity, 8% sales tax);
$140.80 for dinner and a paired wine tasting for each course (includes dinner, wine, 20% gratuity, 8% sales tax)
